Our talks on publishing can cover the whole creative process, From blank page to finished book - printed or electronic. My specialty is ebooks - I've been involved with an agent and publishers, but now concentrate on creating and hosting my own books and those of others through all the major formats. As you can probably guess from this site, I'm also happy to cover the practical side of running a small business.
Fellow Society of Authors and South East Authors member Bill Munro is an established author who has moved on to found his own publishing house, Earlswood Press, which focuses on printed books.
Individually or together, our talks on publishing cover the problems that face all hopeful authors and give practical advice on how to proceed, which traps to avoid and what steps aspiring authors need to take.
We are happy to talk through the stages of the creative stages, where to get relevant and practical advice on writing, how to get started quickly and for free, how to build up a following of loyal readers and how to plan for the future - all based on our own practical experience.
We'll be happy to answer any questions afterwards. If we don't have a solution, or the full information at the time, we can make it available for you fairly quickly afterwards, or point you in the right direction.
Please be aware, the huge success enjoyed by a few top names is rare indeed. Most of us must accept that writing is more about personal fulfillment rather than a speedy path to abundant riches. Anyone can publish their own book however, and even expect to earn a small income from it, so long as they do the homework and follow the right guidelines.
Many of us cherish a desire to see our name in print, but it can be a long, lonely and financially dangerous path. Contact me to find out more about talks on publishing
