I simply charge £40 per hour (no V.A.T.). You decide how much time you want to invest, and how you think my skills would be best used, then point me in the right direction. A fresh viewpoint can often prove insightful, even a single hour spent discussing a web site could pick up some points you've missed. After all, who better than a nit-picking writer to check for typos and wobbly grammar?!
One client booked me to come in for about three hours a month to work through the pile of accounts, letters and accumulated 'nasties', another pays a monthly retainer based on the annual workload, which can be rather seasonal. Its all negotiable, and based on what works for us both.
All work is covered by a full, 100% 'no-quibble' guarantee. I'll do the work, if you are not happy, then don't pay - as simple as that.
Working almost entirely from home now, I can afford to dice up my working time into small chunks. This also means that I don't have to pass on any travelling time or expensive office costs. You can hire me by the hour to help with any particular problems, queries or hassles that you have.
If you would like me to travel, we can sort out how much work can be done in advance and afterwards to keep costs to a minimum.
Although some clients use me to handle the whole of a project, I'm quite happy to just do the fiddly stuff at the end or the beginning, or help you to learn how to do this yourself. Just as you may decide to put up a shelf yourself, but draw the line at an extension, you can decide how much, or how little you would like me to do.
Where possible, I'll try to provide free help on this site or in ebooks, so you can understand what is involved and make an informed choice. Here are a few areas where I may be able to help. I've given some indications and suggestions as to where my time could be most effective, but the final choice is, of course, yours.
